I’m privileged to have worked in the automotive industry for most of my adult life, other than 2 years which I spent project managing M&E installations in Libya.

I’ve worked in various pivotal roles for many top marques and motorsport teams, helping them to success in some of the most prestigious and challenging races/championships across the world.

The competitions I have worked in include Le Mans, Daytona, Dubai 24hr, ALMS, ELMS, BTCC, WEC. Some of the notable teams within those competitions I have been part of include Audi Sport UK, Johansson Matthews, Champion Racing and Formula 1 teams that include RedBull Racing Formula 1 Team, BAR Formula 1 Team and Honda Formula 1 Team.

I have now accumulated over 20 years of extensive experience in the Motorsport Industry with involvement in various roles in Formula 1, Le Mans and Formula E.

I have covered a wide range of jobs that include working track-side in advanced composites, as well as factory-based operations in manufacturing and production planning.

I’m lucky to have worked as an integral team player within many competitive motor racing environments. My responsibilities in such surroundings involved managing myself and teams of people to very tight deadlines while meeting the highest of standards.

Director of NDT, Senior Engineer

In 1995 I moved from the aerospace industry into motor sport.

Within a couple of years I decided to take a step back and get involved in the composite industry and very quickly ended up working for a number of Formula 1 teams including, Arrows, Jaguar, Renault, Williams and lastly RedBull racing F1, along with a brief spell in New Zealand building carbon fibre luxury yachts.

During this time my knowledge of race car parts and composite design and manufacture led me into Non Destructive Testing. Since the advent of RBR I have been involved in the inspection of composite parts with ultrasonics and then into the inspection of metallic parts (ferrous and non-ferrous) using magnetic particle inspection, dye penetrant, florescent and colour contrast, along with eddy current inspection. I am PCN aerospace qualified (more appropriate to motor sport than general engineering).
